Got some wrench time in on the Sabre, got rid of that unholy abortion of a fairing, the rattle box bin on the back and highway pegs.....she is beginning to look the way a Sabre is suppose to. Next is a run to a local car wash with those pressure wands to blow all the gunk off the bike.....some people should not be allowed to own bike, and the previous owner of my Sabre is one of them.

Hoping to get it into a shop this week to get a new front tyre put on, get the forks checked out, oil change, tune up and new front turn indicator lights put on...all hope in time to ride to Penticton and the Okanagan on the long weekend

You should change out those wheel bearings while you have that tire off.

You should check the wheel bearings while it's off. No point in changing them if they're still good.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Today I slept in.

I went to the Greek Days and enjoyed some souvlaki, some kind of dessert with an unpronouncable name, watched the greek dancing, took lots of photos, got wet in the rain and burned in the sun.

A fun day indeed.

Rode into work this morning on the Daytona; turned on my PC; edited a couple of leaflets; had lunch at my desk; wandered round the local bookshop during the rest of my break looking for motorcycle travel books; got back to the office and did some process mapping; rode home. WHERE THE HELL DID TODAY GO?????

Yesterday I rode 240 miles up into East Anglia on the Daytona with two mates. We rode through the lanes and back roads. It kept raining on and off, but it was a good day - It was a long, long day. Isn't time supposed to go slowly when you are having fun.

Got home from work today and since it turned into a nice evening, took the Sabre out for its first run without that abmonination of a fairing, and yup, she handles a hell of a lot better, now slow turns don't cause the front end to wobble.

Got her pressure washed, and she came up real pretty. While it was drying chatted with another old fart about bikes in general, he has an '80 something GS1000 that he took apart and now has to take to a shop to get put back together.

Went for a nice ride on the local back lanes, boogied down to Boundary Bay the off to Delta Port, wracked up about 30 klicks and the Sabre contrary to what I was told doesn't mind the twisties at all. Also learned that my emergency braking skills are really rusty.

Tomorrow I am planning on riding her to work and then dropping her off at a shop in Richmond to have the engine tuned up, oil changed, front tyre replaced, and have the front forks looked at along with just a general check up. If I am lucky, I will get her back in time for the long weekend.

OK. Here you go.
I LOVE your new hair style. It looks really nice on you - and might I say, it makes you look younger. More sassy too!

Cheers,

Beautiful morning today, if a little chilly at 120 K's :D so rode to work. Collegues came out to ooh and aah at the bike, had to hide my helmet and keys for fear of one them "borrowing" them while I was busy on the phone.

After work, took it to the shop to get some "professional" work done on it, so will be bikeless for a few days, but they promised I'd have it back by the long weekend.

Took three hours to get home by bus......transit sucks.

Where on earth did you have to go that took you 3 hours to get back to Surrey?
