i know in the uk you cant plug a tyre within one inch of the side wall.think thats right.but most people ive spoke to say a lpug is perfectly safe if fitted right.there was one tyre shop that wouldnt repair whatever.ask keyoke how many tyres we bought over a matter of weeks.sure we were conned.xjrjohn

I just have a hole in my rear tire right now. I'm just going to play it safe and get a new tire. I'll feel better about it that way.

The Pirelli Sport Demons that I installed on my GS were actually bumpy on the inside, probably to prohibit patching. A plug would probably be the only thing that would work. I've plugged plenty of automobile tires and never had one to fail. But you'll need to weigh the risks when deciding what to do.
