My Dad just bought an 03 Volusia yesterday. I got to drive it to his house because he doesn't have his license yet. Sweet bike!
The Volusia is a sweet bike! I bet your dad can't wait to get that license....... :D

By the way.. how do you like the Katana..... I sold mine a week ago .....sbiff :?

Cheers,

Rob
I love my Katana. I bought it knowing it needed some work; and boy, have I been working. It's easy enough to wrench on and it's been great as a first bike. A lot of people complain that it's too heavy or whatever, but it's been great for me!

Cruiser/Rocket on Steroids

#12 Unread post by TheGuardian »

Hey Rob... you want your cake and eat it too? A cruiser and crotch rocket all in one? I took the M109R for a test ride... what a bike. Large and low for stability, huge pistons and running gear for power. I'd have to change a few things and add a small screen but it took about 15 minutes after I turned the key off for my body to stop vibrating on the inside from the thrill... not shaking... vibrating!
I also took the Yamaha Roadliner for a ride, it's more like the C90, and I really love the stability and comfort, it's shift response was much better to me then the M109R and it definitely has power to spare.
Perfomance wise several biker mag editors have favored the Yahama though the power house on both are equal Though not having ridden the C90, I'm really close to buying either the Roadliner or the RoadStar, but I'm planning to test ride the Kawasaki 1500 or 1600 cuz I like the way I feel in the seat, just need to compare stability and power.
Also, just for my own biz... it seems the aftermarket offers a LOT more upgrades and accessories for the Yamahas at present, which i intend to take advantage of shortly after i buy.
Good luck, which ever way you go.

Curious I am.... I just signed the paperwork for a 07 C90SE Boulevard and was wondering if any members here have ridden this particular cruiser. Any problems...what did you like, not like.....etc

I sold the Katana in my pic over the weekend and after renting a Harley in Tenesee a few weeks back, I got the Cruiser itch..... sucks...wish I could have both a rocket and cruiser... oh well....

Cheers,

Rob
I've owned three Suzukis but not a Boulevard.
I've always found Suzukis reliable but their quality could be better. Also I've found them hard to maintain as Suzuki doesn't take the home mechanic into consideration when building their bikes. Plugs, battery etc. are sometimes very hard to get at. I've switched to a Yamaha because of those things.
Good luck with the bike.

I have a 2006 Suzuki C90 Black. I love it. If I had a complaint it would be the small gas tank but it has a gas gauge so I can live with that.

Its amazing how something as simple as a gas guage is such a big advantage for those of us without one :(

Canadianbacon,

Two years ago I traded a Katana 750 for a C-90 that I loaded up with saddlebags and windshield, backrest for both me and the passenger and rear floorboards for the passenger. I have never looked back and definately do not regret my decision to trade. I now have over 5000 miles on the C-90 now and still feel that it is a great cruising bike. Also my wife likes riding on the back of the C-90 a whole lot more than she did on the back of the Katana.

Hope you enjoy yours as much.
