Also looking for the best place to take the safety course. I picked up a local rag called Ridin' and it mentioned $25 dollar courses from the state, but didn't mention where.
Yep, I'm in Cincinnati and always up for a ride. Scan and Loonette are up in Yellow Springs and we get together either down here or up there at least once a month and maybe more for rides. Zootech is in Marysville and rides down to join us occasionally too.
As for the riding course, they are offered at the Great Oaks schools. I took mine at Scarlet Oaks in Sharonville. Go to their website, www.greatoaks.com , and click on Adult and Continuing Education. There is a link to the motorcycle safety stuff there.
Where in Cincy are you?
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

I am in Price Hill right next to the College I attended. I just signed up on the Greak Oaks website. Thank you for sharing that! I wonder if they will accept Indiana Driver's licenses/MotoPermits. They might not like that too much. I spent a decent amount of time at the Sharonville Target World.

Cool, I grew up in Price Hill. I live in Westwood now. A couple/few miles down the road from ya there.
I think that they do take Indiana licenses. I believe there was a kid from Indiana in the class that I took. I would call and ask to be sure though.
Funny, I work next to the Sharonville Targetworld. My company's offices are in the same building as K&G's clothing store.

I have an opportunity to ride out for a few hours on the afternoon of Saturday, July 14. I have a Ropes Rescue drill to attend until around 1:00, and I plan to head out of Yellow Springs around 2:00. If anyone is interested in joining the fun, just say so.
Also, "Scan", will be doing some ride time on Sunday the 15th of July. So if anyone wants to do Sunday, say so as well.
Destination? Who cares. If enough people are interested, we'll try to meet somewhere in the middle.
Cheers,
Loonette

BUMP!
Just a bump to remind everyone - this Saturday (the 14th of July) Loonette will be riding in the afternoon, and Sunday (the 15th) I'm planning to be out and about. If anyone is free within reasonable distance Saturday or Sunday, let either of us know!
Cheers,
Scan

If the bike is in and out of the shop by Saturday I will ride both days as long as the wifes schedule permits.

Anyone going to the Honda Homecoming in Marysville Ohio. I go most years, even without a Honda. This year I plan to go early on Thursday morning to do a demo ride on an ST1300 and/or a Goldwing. You have to show up early, like 7:30 or 8am to get on the signup list. In the evening there is a "ride of lights" from the Honda plant to Belfontaine, where all the Goldwings show off their fancy light setups. So I expect I'll be there all day and into the evening this year. Also Loonette plans to ride up there for some or most of Saturday, but I'll let her speak for herself. If anyone is thinking of going, or would like to meet up, let me know.

If my bike ever gets on the road again and the wife isn't working that weekend, I might be able to swing one of the days. I'll keep ya posted.

I'm thinking about going up on Saturday. It would be nice to be there with someone besides myself (not that I can't be alone, but talking to myself just draws a lot of unwanted attention!).
For some reason I said Thursday, but i meant Friday, the 27th, as Looney mentioned. I'm thinking I might be around all day. Anyone who might be around PM me, and I'll send you a contact number. Maybe T-bonee's bike will be done by then too!
