My better half. I suggested I should get a scooter to commute to work. He thought a motorcycle would be much better. So we both signed up for the safety course last year and the rest is history!

My grandfather and several uncles all ride, I was slightly interested...really just liked looking at them! Then last April I started riding as a passenger on my boyfriends bike. After a few months, I toyed around with the idea of getting one. Finally in April of this year I got my first bike - and I love it :D.

When I was but a little fella, some guy in my Grandma's apartment complex had a bike. I convinced my Grandma to let him take me around the parking lot. From then, I had a infatuation with bikes.

When I got truly interested in learning to ride I did my research for about 5 years before I took the plunge!

Sorry it took me so long to respnd, I've been out riding! :scooter:

I got a '06 Aprillia Scarabeo 250. It will cruise at ~70 no problem, so it's fine for the freeway as long as you're OK with rockin' the slow lane. It's also got 16" wheels on both ends, so it's more stable at speed than a scoot with "normal" 10" wheels. The only thing I'd change at this point is the windscreen. The stock one is really small, like 4", and doesn't do much for the wind.

One brisk winter afternoon in college I woke up and decided I wanted to get a bike, because bikes were cool. Naturally I then told my roommate. "Dude, Im gonna get a bike" "Dude, thats awesome" "Right" "Dude, lets both get bikes" "Dude, F yea" "Dude, this is awesome idea!" It took a whole week before each of us had a bike and was riding around. Im surprised I made it through certain periods in my life.

Well it was my Freshman year of college and I was at our event where all the clubs come out and set up displays. I was walking by the motorcycle display, I stopped and went "Hmm....why not?" and asked them about how you learn to ride. They referred me to the local MSF and so I took the class and fell in love with bikes. Now I'm working to get my parents to agree to a bike or just biding my time to when I'm not dependent on them any more.
Have fun on the open /¦\
