carbs

Have a 92 yamaha virago 750. can any 1 tell me where the fuel adjustment on the carbs are located??? Bike,s running rich! thanks for any info

First thing you need to do is buy a manual. You can find one here.
There are going to be two adjustment screws on the carb. One will be the idle speed adjustment and the other will be the idle mixture. The idle mixture screw most likely will be plugged so you can't adjust it. If I were you I'd start by replacing the air filter. Check the air box to make sure it hasn't gotten plugged up. Check the exhaust to make sure it hasn't gotten plugged up.

fuel adjustment,s dun with jets inside. got to find wat u got and get smaller 1,s!

What buzzz said....


The screw adjustments are for idle air only. Once off idle, the little needle screws are not used in the fuel circuit. The screws will fix a poor idle if it is a mixture problem, but not fix a problem off idle.
