How to Avoid the Flu!

How To Avoid The Flu!

Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.
Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C. Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system. Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around. Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible. Get plenty of rest. Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

OR

Take the doctor's office approach. Think about it... When you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol.
Why?

Because alcohol kills germs. So.......

I walk to the liquor store. (exercise )
I put lime in my Corona...(fruit)
Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies)
Drink outdoors on the bar patio..(fresh air)
Tell jokes, laugh..(eliminate stress)
Then pass out. (rest)

The way I see it...

If you keep your alcohol levels up,flu germs can't get you!!!!
My grandmother always said, "A shot in the glass is better than one in the a**!"

Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

You know...

Once I had strep throat for 3 weeks straight. The docs were shooting me up with Penicillin nearly 3 times a week, and it was still there. Desperate by the third week, I decided to "cure" that crap once and for all.

Enter the bottle of Everclear that was on my fridge. One shot, inhaled while shooting it no less, so it'd coat the whole throat and get into my nose and sinuses. I was balled up in the floor clutching my throat with tears streaming down my face. Girlfriend at the time sees my distress and what did she do?

Poured another. Her words, exactly, were, "Take another and kill the pain, quick!"

So, I shot that one and about 5 minutes later was passed out on the couch.

Interestingly enough, though the 5 minutes it took for it all to hit my bloodstream and knock me out were some of the most painful in my life, I woke up the next morning feeling like a million bucks!

Moral of the story? Alkyhall can cure all ills, but things must get worse before they get better... ;)

I've heard that Everclear has some... cough, cough... medicinal qualities. I've never tried it but it sounds like it may be similar to what my buddy Jarvis makes (named changed to shelter his innocent offspring). That stuff will make you feel like you landed on your back from a 10 foot fall!

Although I can't prove it, I think that's where the "Rebel Yell" came from.

Another alcohol recommendation, is when I was off work, because I lost my voice (couldn't do my job without it), an my throat felt lift red hot razorblades were scraping down it.... So what did I do on the second day?

I got myself a large bottle of baileys, stuck it in the freezer for an hour, then started drinking rather large glasses of it, until I couldn't feel the pain anymore... Highly recommended, as when I woke up, my throat felt loads better
