Hate to beat on a dead dog but I was looking at a Shinko rear to replace my Conti Road attack. Like I've said before I'm not out to set any new lean angle records. Any opinions whether this tire is worth it?
thanks.

My buddy picked one up on our recent road trip when he was desperate for a tire. He likely would have picked something more mainstream given the choice but he said it handled just fine (and we were on some pretty twisty roads). They seem to have an extremely deep tread depth as well. Whether or not this is a good thing remains to be seen....

Shinko Raven sport touring radial is getting some good reports at sport-touring.net, nicely priced tire:

http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/ind ... 282.0.html
407,211 miles in 30.1 years for 13,528 miles/year average. Started 7/21/84, updated 8/26/14
Well here's my conclusion on this tire.
If I were more of a knee dragger I doubt I would take a chance on this tire. Since I'm more of a mellow sport touring rider this sound like a really good tire for me. It should give me good milage and it will cut it good enough in the corners to have some fun and not think about it.
Thanks for the input guys.
