"What'll you give me for this?"
"Umm..." (flips through a book) "Six dollars."
"SIX DOLLARS?"
"Yep."
"I paid fifty for it...USED!"
"Six dollars."

Actually, I'm exaggerating a bit. Instead of "six dollars," make that "a quarter."
 Part of my lesson schedule is on line. Do these folks know you can scan a book and put it up on line also?

Hmm. O.K. one thing though. Do they fit the 1 1/2" Cobra oversized Bar? So far I have only found 1 that is the size and that is from Kuryakin. But go ahead and post em up and we will look at em.
doh I have been so exhausted lately that I havent been riding the bike (rather be alert and safe when riding) so I will try to get them tonight after I get up. Just gotta remember to go look. I cant remember if the clamps are 1.5" or 1" so when I will at least measure them.

THE RIDE
Rainsuits dont work if you dont wear them.
I hit the rain about 1/2 mile from home. I thought I could make it. I saw it when I left.
Arizona Monsoons. I was soaked by the time I got home.
MEXICANS
Well, I think something big is being planned for the weekend.
I dont know what, but I picked up a flier. I could only make out a couple words.
Congress
Important
ignorant
Aug. 3rd.
Well see what happens.
I know they arent happy about the new law that will be enforced requiring employers to make sure all employees are legal.
CONSPIRACY THEORY'S
Well today I learned that something called a rundown, or something like that, has been placed on some major stocks in the market.
What this is, is someone is betting big that some major players are going to take a dump on those days. The date is either Sept. 21st. or 27th.
This meens, according to the conspiracy theorists, is that a major terrorist attack is going to happen, because it was found out these kind of markers were put on the airlines used in the 911 attacks.
Fun stuff huh?
Later.

Hi,

You mentioned the rake on the VN. I found it a shock when I went into roundabouts. Yopu get used to it.
Went through a few tight roundabouts last night (Newport and Pencoed).
Going in left and low, swing back over to the right and then dropping back left the VN did drop like a weight but fortuneatly not all the way then right her vertical again. You forget she's design for straight roads.

I dont know if the 15 is different from the 16 or not, but I can understand about the heavy feel in the turns.
i agree the bike i definitely made for straight roads. Its also not very well adapted to slow speed and traffic. This is magnified when you install a narrower bar like I did. But I dont have those conditions where I live.I have long straight roads. The bike performs flawlessly in the conditions I ride.
If I was riding in congestion and tight traffic quarters( which incidently Im planning on doing in the future) I would want a different bike for everyday.
My weekend ride needs will stay the same though.
Long straight rodes + heavy cruiser=

Don't rule the VN out in congestion and country roads - she's a good ride.
