Vulcan 750 better bike in deer country

#11 Unread post by rontaub »

One reason I bought my 2004 Vulcan 750 was the high positioning of the speedometer over the handlebars. Many of the newer bikes, including the Vulcan 900 have tank mounted speedometers. I don't like taking my eyes off the road any longer than I have to. There are way too many deer and turkeys here in rural Wisconsin. I would rather have an ugly motorcycle than a beauty that gets me killed. Old guys like me don't know that the 80's were retro, I thought they were pretty modern. I love the way my bike looks and rides.
