Sat through a quite exciting day of classes yesterday: Financial Accounting and then Beginning Mandarin. The latter will actually be interesting once we move beyond pronunceations into learning actual words/phrases.

Today I'm sitting at my job (bank teller) wishing I was out riding or playing Halo 3 instead :)

Today I went to the doctor for a follow up assessment. I am still off work until the end of the month. That is both good and bad....The good is that I can still have all my time to myself....the bad is that it means I'm not improved enough to do anything strenuous yet and I am still on limited income from LTD.

I then got some pumpkin ice cream. Yummy.

Some car cleaning people are coming over today to clean the inside of my car. I loaned my car to a friend for a few weeks so they could get out of town in a hurry. They had a bit of a crisis....her Dad had a stroke and then passed away. They travelled with their dog in the back seat so now the car has dog slobber on the upholstery and the car smells like a dog. peeeeyewwwww. My friend is paying for the cleaning.

Everyday in my work truck I drive past a condo complex, and parked outside on the side of the street are two bikes. One is a 650 BMW Dakar, the other a Honda CBR 600 RR. Today when I went past, the CBR was on it's side in front of an empty parking space. It looks like it got clipped as a car was leaving... :frusty:

Not something nice to wake up to for that rider...

I got stuck in an elevator during a power outage today. My facility has rather large generators that are supposed to kick in almost instantaneously, you normally can barely tell there's a problem. This time it took nearly a minute for things to come back up. Let me tell you, it gets DARK in an elevator shaft.

Did that minute feel like an hour?

Nah, I pulled the PDA out of my pocket, turned it on, and used it as a flashlight to find the emergency call button. By the time I told the operator that I was stuck, the lights had kicked back on. Thirty or so seconds after that the elevator started moving again, and I GTFO of there at the next floor.

Had alarm set for 9:30 today to apply for jobs and such down here... (No, I'm not lazy, just looking for night jobs, was up til 3 looking for jobs last night) Woke up at 10, knowing that thanks to the cell phone, power was out...
Looked around, and on the door to my 5th wheel was a note "Just found out power will be cut at 8 this morning, will be out for 10 hours. City didn't let us know til now (7:30)"
So yeah, I spent a decent amount of time in the car driving around, but when I came home, power wasn't still on, fridge was barely still running, and no A/C... Bleh
Coming from Colorado, it's hot down here WITH the A/C...
Now power is back, so I have A/C, music, and computer again! yay!!!

Have to buy B'Day present for my Great Nephew's first B'Day...

Also may as well pick up a gift for the Toy Run this Sunday...

Have to have a nap before I hit the party bus tonight...

I spent the last three days taking photos....now I'll spend the next few days taking ibuprofen. :(
It was worth it though. The Nicola Valley in BC is cattle country. Rolling hills, fall colours, horses, lakes, history., etc.,
Now I have to process my images to decide what to keep, what to toss out, cropping, editing., etc.....

But first....a cup of coffee.

Woke up, got outta bed, dragged a rake across a ton of gravel in my driveway. That was fun!
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
