Thanks for the warm welcome guys, my other bikes have been an 81 Yamaha 650 Special, 85 Yamaha FJ 600 and an 88 Ninja 750R. Hard to say how they compare I have had this bike for just over a week and I have only taken it out one time. How ironic now that I can afford a nice bike I have not time to ride it, I guess it's time to make some time.

If I remember correctly the 85 was the fastest production 600 (I wouldn't doubt if the 84 was also), do you have any pic's?

In 84, it was the ONLY production 600 (four cylinder at least.) In 85 Kawasaki came out with the 600 Ninja, which was a bit faster than the FJ. The FJ series bikes (both the 600 and the 1100) were the first to have the mono-shock in the rear. Everyone else followed suit. They're great bikes. I've had little trouble keeping up with the faster crowd. (On much newer, much faster bikes) I have several pics in the Yamaha section of the photo Gallery.
