Damn rain....

#1 Unread post by matthew5656 »

Boy was it a great day to ride earlier..! Overcast Colorado sky, sixty degree temperature, not too hot, but not too cold... The old Honda was running nice and smooth and hardly gave me any trouble. Fortunately, I didn't spot as many posers without jackets. These daredevils must be too cool to ride with a jacket during brisk weather so they may as well not ride at all. Obviously they have such a trendy image to maintain. The only guys I rode past earlier had full gear on, except one guy wasn't wearing his dome protection.

But of course it starts raining... And then it begins pouring. By the time I pulled up to my house it started hailing profusely. Now I am sitting here at my computer. Watching motorcycle videos...

Virtually I can ride at any season of the year, bc i live in miami, but during the summer is impossible to be outside with a t shirt you can imagine on a hot motorcycle with long sleeves jacket, long pants, heavy boots, gloves and helmet.... ah ah ah.... -.-
If you don't live to ride, then you're not living... :italy: :motorcycle5:

I feel your pain, well incredible discomfort, it's hot enough driving a car in Florida with the AC on full blast if you leave it in the sun for a couple hours. A bike with full gear, in stop and go traffic...

I think id rather sit in 110 degree heat with full gear than 14 degree F with full gear. But then again I have done both and thats what I would prefer but you dang southerners dont pay enough for me to move down there.

Rains in NorCal, but not enough to really put a damper on the most determined of riders. Hail and snow is unheard of (thank goodness). Been a couple of rainy day rides, and I've seen more than a few riders.
