New Rider 96 ninja 250

Hi, just found the site. is alot of help. but i have some questions i was wondering about. i just got a 1996 ninja 250 with 7000 miles on it off ebay for 1100. it is an hour from my house and i pick it up monday at 3!! i was wondering what fluids seals etc need to be checked and or changed. he says the oil was changed 1k ago. should i go ahead and put some good stuff in it now? thanks for your help.


also before it probably comes up i ordered a snell rated helmet, $50 gloves, and a $100 jacket

when you talk to him ask him the last time the brake fluid was changed, and if the coolant is ready for Winter. Make sure you have a copy of the owner's manual, which has the maintenance schedule in it. The service manual is a good idea too; available on eBay.
