I made an assumption on his location of the stunting. You know what assuming does. You're right, if that is his situation then he is free to do as he wishes. I wish the stunters in my area would find "the spot" too rather than becoming hood ornaments for big trucks. People in the area after the accident began referring to all who rode bikes as "those damn bikers" and it struck a nerve with me. I've been on the road before most of them were even born. I meant no harm- I've just seen what can happen and would prefer to not see anymore statistics. The good thing for me in my area is most of them are fair weather riders and have put their bikes away for the year because it is getting cold. That gives me another month and a half to ride until the snow starts to fly. Sean

HAHAHA LMAO

first off, buzz, checked over my PM inbox , and i remember it pretty clearly now except for the part about me wanting to stunt a brand-new bike.

but that sounds like me a few months back.

anyway, did not mean to offend/insult any of you at all. :oops!: hope u all know that.

and i appreciate thank you for your advice, and as far as mechanical things go i don't know much, like sev said get stiffer clutch springs, i would have no idea how to do that and would be very hesitant to do so cause it's very mechanical, or at least from my POV.

anyway, here are a few things i've done to my bike so i can make it more stuntable/lastable:

1. removed all plastics/headlights...so it doesn't hit the ground when i drop the bike.
2. stunt cage
3. subframe cage
4. oil pickup, so the bike doesn't get oil starved
5. stunt(short) rearsets with sliders...so they don't hit the ground when i drop the bike, and they protect shifter/rb pedals.
6. tipover sensor removed, to prevent the bike from shutting off once u take the wheelie high enough.
7. air box rerouted...so when the bike is on the ground, oil doesn't get in the airbox, it instead is rerouted to it goes out the exhaust.
8. 2nd idle cable installed, so you don't change the fuel/air mixture but adjusting the stock idle cable.
9. 12 bar, so you don't crush your tail plastic.
10. GPR stabalizer, to prevent headshakes on wheelies or endos.
11. reinforced radiator...so the stock/weak brackets don't brake.
12. cut down levers...so they don't hit the ground
13. cut down exhaust pipe..first i did it for the sound...but cut it even shorted so it has less of a chance of hitting the ground.
14. i also stock extra parts to prevent down time....master cylinders, clip-ons, sliders...etc...etc
...and a few other things, don't remember the rest off the top of my head.

...and i've done all these mods myself and have spent many hours doing them. hopefully buZz, all of that ^^ tells you something about me.

and just FYI, i'm sooo glad now that i didn't finance that $10,000 gixxer i wanted and got me this $4,000 f4i ! i think my life would've gone in an entirely different direction if i would have ifact gotten that bike....i'm actually trying to find another cheap streetfigheterd f4i(i have my current plastics sitting in the closet) to make as my street/canyon bike so i can have this one as strictly stunt bike.

v4honda, i'm not gonna lie. i stunt on the street, quite alot too, but only where i think it is safe (and don't say its never safe).....but i just bought a old pos truck about a month ago so now i tow my bike to the lot so i can stay off the streets, plus its good to have, incase the bike breaks down...which as buzz said, happens alot...especially when doing slow wheelies. infact, i just looped my buddies zx-6r yesterday. bent the right side clip-on pretty bad. ....the guys that make u look bad are the ones that don't think, not necessarily "stunters"...don't generalize like that...some of those guys are the ones that go and b a brand knew R1 or a zx10 for their first bike and crash(which was actually wat i was gonna do but thx to TMW, i gots me an ex500 and i thank all you guys for that), or the ones that do stunts in heavy traffic or unsafe places. go find some ppl that hate bikers and as em why....see how many say "cause the do wheelies" on the freeway" and see how many say "cause when i'm driving i see them lanesplittin going way past the speed limit and they come very close to hitting me"....that was just a really bad example ( :frusty: ) but hopefully u got my point.

and sev, u've pretty much been involved in all the tech/bike threads that i've posted, ur everywhere! and ya, not sure why i got on ur nerves so often but w/e. LOL  i remember u were gonna make some kinda program/script that greyed out my posts? ...haha, good times.

...btw, yes, i did get the handbrake....just a week ago actually...i love it...and just ordered an ez-pull clutch perch/lever today so i can set it up to fit with the hb correctly.

This one makes no sense to me.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

for slow no-hander wheelies, u raise the idle so the bike keeps a steady speed. usually to 3,000rpm...if u do it on the stock idle cable(on an f4i at least) it messes up the air/fuel mixture cause the ecu doesn't know about it, and the bike runs like sh*t.

thats where the 2nd cable comes in...u get a idle cable off another f4i, and u hook it up to the throttle body, and when you raise it, it open the butterflies...just as you if you were doin it with the throttle cables...so now the ecu knows about it and the bike runs normal.

emmm.. 2nd gear whealies.. how are you doing them? I've tried going about 25 MPH at 3,500 RPM and dumping it at 10,000 with nothing more than a little jerk.. :(

clutching 1st is easy though.
