Full face or MX helmet, depending on the application. And for what its worth, I trust MX helmets as much as i trust full face helmets in a face first landing. Have some first hand experiance on what it's like with an MX lid

Open face (nolan) has visor but always wear up - use it as a peak against the rain that has the same effect as botox.
Also wear reactalite aviators
