They're just too cool.

I live in japan. noone here would ever wave to another motorcyclist. whats the point? You got a bike, and so do I? Thats great. Would you wave to people on 50cc scooters too? Dont miss that part of home. sorry dont get it.

Actually, yes, I do wave at 50cc scoots. I get either a look of pure joy or one of total disbelief from the scoots that I wave at, both are good responses.

You're correct, I have a bike, you have a bike, but the point is, we share a camaraderie that cagers don't. If you're a totally "SOLO" rider and don't enjoy the company of other two wheeled enthusiasts, feel free never to wave back, no ones forcing you to acknowledge a wave that may be directed towards you. I on the other hand will continue to wave even if I never get a response again. Although in truth, I even get waves back from those big mean and nasty "Harley" riders...

I wave to everyone but most harley riders just scowl or give me the daggers :|

I waved at a motorcycle cop once and didn't notice. He gave me this really quick official (less than a second) *left hand off the bar, extend, back on the bar"

Can anyone explain this "Jeep Wave" to me?

If you like waving; go to Vietnam. i was there over the New Years for vacation. the most insane traffic ive ever seen. On one tour the guide told us there were 8 million people in HCMC and 4 million registered scooters. i think they missed a couple scooters. Your arm will fall off in under 10 minutes. did i mention they had 4 traffic signals in this town. What cross the street? Here? I dont know how we lived. They didnt have many driving regualtions as far as i could tell.......

I wave most of the time regardless if a big bad Harley or a little scooter. Most Harley dudes wave back and some don't but same holds true for those croch rocket folks.
Keep the wheels on the road.
