2008 KLR 650 Seat Height?

#1 Unread post by stevep »

Ii just sat on one at a shop. It's a nice bike. But I'm 6'2 and I couldn't plant both my feet completely down. I want to be abe to do this on my first bike. Is the rear height adjustable? I need about 1 1/2- 2"s.

You can get lowering kits for the KLR that will drop the height anywhere from 1" to 3".

funny that you can't put both your feet on the ground, as I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam and I can put both my feet down at a stop on my KLR. I can't flatfoot it, but I can get both feet down comfortably enough.

Tip toeing at a light is not much of a short break.

I'm 5'10 and between getting my leg over (I'm also 46 yrs) and the very high CG, I didn't care for it. If you have the inseem or a lowering kit, it can be a nice bike.

I can get both feet down, just can't flat foot. I figure that would be a good idea for my first bike.

thanks-
