Other dangerous obstacles:

The vulcanised edges of tarmac to give a smooth and lethal finish when wet. (developed by Govt. to kill off as many motorcyclist as possible as they are seen as free spirits/therefore unable to excercise mind control on.)

Not that I believe there is a conspiracy of any sort.

ps. - note Jeremy Clarkson quote : speed never killed anyone - its the suddenly becoming stationery that gets you.
If you can see the tops of the mountain's it's going to rain.
If you can't - it's raining.

I pick eaters. If they eat then they are completely unpredictable.
Other then that, i would pick gravel, or WET leaves.

For those who said leaves. I always thought leaves just fell there or were carried there by nature.

NO... They get help as I noticed in Cribbs (Bristol) -the culprit is skulking away after blowing them off the grass onto the road.

voted for leaves, as there is not much substances more slippery, than a soup of wet half-rotten leaves  :D

It isn't in the poll, but dry deep sand on the road makes me really sweat  on my kawi ER-5.
Gravel as I understand it, is much better, than sand

I also almost have a paranoia of animals crossing the road (or hypothetical appearance of a deer behind the turn... :scared: )

Oh, you forgot to put "open canalization lids" in the poll - I saw one once, when driving my cage.
1999 Kawasaki ER-5 (nice metallic blue - sold :( )
2000 Suzuki SV650S (also blue one :D )
