Went for a ride today with a couple of buddies. Up to the lake. It got cold by the end of the day.

Today I woke up, took a nap, called a friend to try and sell a gun, fed and watered the chickens, grilled some steak potatos and bell peppers, argued with my son about eating ( I think he has a eating phobia or something  ),washed a load of clothes, surfed the net, and now I am going to read for awhile and go to sleep.

Spent most of the day at church - 10:30 Mass, 4:00 Vespers, hung out and practiced in between (I'm an organist.)

Yesterday Mrs. & I took the fairing off her Trophy, replaced the turn signal, and popped out some cracked sections. I think we're going to replace the lower fairing section, it's more damaged than I thought - $370, ugh. (She had a "stop and drop" incident back on Nov. 11) Put everything back together, then she wanted to go riding, so we rode until we started freezing - 34 F out.

Friday we bought new matching his-n'-her HJC FS10 helmets. Kind of early Christmas presents for each other. This is the one with the built-in sunscreen. Local dealer was having their holiday sale, all gear 25% off. I'll post a review after I've worn it a couple more times.

Today I got up called the Evil Twin to come help remove the rear tire which went pretty quick. We checked the bearings, which were bad so we knocked them out. Next we removed the wore out rotor. Off we went to the Bearing Headquarters where we got a set of 6403s. They didn't have the seal so I may have to reuse the old one. Good thing we didn't tear it up when removing it. We stop at Scotts to pick up the rest of the tools I'll need tomorrow when I put the wheel back together. I want to drop it off for the new tire tomorrow also. Next I got ready to go to work.

This is the kind of day for just looking at peoples pictures and such as it is rainy and cold today. Well I might was well go to the bar and watch the Cowboys beat the Lion's. Or at least I hope they do.

Have a good day ya'all

A lazy day. Cleared some of my bike tools and tins of lube etc out of the kitchen. Now that I'm back on my own the house has started to take on a more er... 'functional' appearance.

Walked up into town and listened to carol singing in the market square. It was a very British event, everyone singing nervously and inaudibily.

Spoke to my neighbour, Louise who is a member of the Free Tibet campaign and sells Tibetan stuff on a stall. She lived in Nepal for a couple of years and stayed in Tibet for a while. I bought a mounted copy of one of her Tibetan photographs (She is a terrific photographer). It was a of the Barkhor on a festival day. The Barkhor is the market place in Lhasa, the only traditional part of the city left apart from the Potala Palace. The Chinese have pulled the rest down.
