Good news is, if you're having this much trouble starting it, I highly doubt it is due to dropping it.

I asked a policeman driving by for his advice on leaving at school over the weekend and he came out and helped me turn it on!! He kicked the kickstand up a few times turned the choke up, (I had already tried it with the throttle all the way open), and turned the little knob underneath (timing adjustment I think), and got it started. It turned off a few times after that though, but I managed to get it home.
I swear that bike hates me. And I love it so much. *tear*
Anyway, he said it could be a spark plug or something with the fuel line. Something is wrong with it, and I am going to find out what....after my weekend snowboarding. =)
Good news is that I found out that one of my friend's friend loves working on motorcycles - and I can probably get him to work on it and for the price of a six-pack will SHOW ME HOW!
I continue to be surprised at the friendliness in the mcyclist community. Amazing. Huzzah and thanks again to all of you!

The little knob should have been your idle speed adjustment. The officer probably made your idle faster.
Were I in your place, I'd take it in to a shop to get the carb fine-tuned. Small things out of adjustment can make a big difference with carbs. Also check spark plugs, that's easy to do yourself. Hope you get things sorted out quickly.

Mead, eh? I have a bottle or two of that stuff (hard to get in New England, luckily I have an 'amateur' brewer as a friend). I love the stuff.
