Funny you should say that....

I had wanted a Goldwing for better than 20 years. I finally got serious about it 3 years ago and after sitting on several, decided that the comfort was limited and I decided that it was no longer on my list of favourite bikes. I found that with the flat 6 there was no room for my legs to stretch out, (same issue with the Valk, but on the Valk I don't have fairing in the way of highway pegs.) It was shortly after that I found the Venture and have been drooling ever since.

Time has come to stop drooling and start paying, or is that playing...

Went for a fifteen mile walk today with some friends. First in a while. Got back at 2.00 pm. Wrote up my journal, read a little, then went to sleep, missing the motorcycle club dinner and dance I was supposed to be going to this evening. (Ngggggrrrrrh.) Then a friend came round. Cooked some soup and chicken and chic pea souffle. Jawed away till the small hours. Good day.

I drove around. For a good 5 or 6 hours with my friend Ed. Good times. So what if i burned half a tank of gas. Also scored some free food.

I was awakened by the phone at 6 am by a friend who forgot to close the door of his house before he went to the airport.
So, I got dressed and drove over there to find the key and lock the door.

Then.....to add insult to injury.....he sent a text message and woke me up again.

Wait until he gets the invoice.

Let's see....hmmmm
Being awakened before business hours must be worth $60.
Emergency service call..............................................$40.
Getting and dressed in the dark on a Sunday .............$20.
Having to go to a cold garage and warm up the car.....$20.
Driving in the dark on frosty roads............................ $30.
Second wake up.......................................................$30.

What do you think? $200. cover it?

60° here in Kansas City so I fired up the Connie and went for a ride. Couldn't go to far as I have to be at work at 2:30. K-5 both ways should do the trick. I got home and found my black bike was a light brown color, so I went ahead and cleaned it up.

Nice weather today. So I rode my FZ a lot! Practice for track days started yesterday but was rained out. :( SO, today I ran some of my favorite local, non travelled roads. Got the rear looser than I intended on a curve. No big deal, but I was upset with my reaction time! Maybe I'm getting to old to drive swiftly. Came home, ate soup, sulked a while, and now I'm thinking about going back out for another, slower ride. It's still 66 degrees here.

You forgot to add ~25% for "Sundry Items" people who write invoices, love those

Ah, you are correct. I forgot to add the gas(petrol), the coffee I made to drink on the way...and other sundry items. :)

That would make it $250. But...since he is a friend....I'll let it go at $225.

Said goodbye to my girls and my grandson, and I got in a plane and hitched a ride back home... Calgary is supposed to get cold again so I thought I'd leave before that happened.

I'm a signature away from that new bike. It's sitting in a crate waiting to be put together, I think I'll pop a couple of accessories into the mix before they complete it.

Damnitalltohell, I already miss my grandson...
