If she won't you COULD always sell me the Duck. I love that bike.... Is that stock paint on the Bonny with an aftermarket tail-locker on the back?

I've said it before but you have great taste in bikes.
Thanks High_Side.

It's the original saphire blue paint with a Corbin Smuggler seat. Corbin do a great job, the paint and hand painted pin striping match the original perfectly.

HD Sportster (well, some models are more like standards)
Bonneville
The fairly unaffordable Ducati Sport Classics (especially the GT).
W650. Any other Japanese options? (even cruisers with fairly standard riding positions?)
Along the lines of a Sportster is the Suzuki S-series Boulevards. S40, S50, and S83.

If anyone's interested the april issue of Mototcycle Cruiser, currently on sale, has an article about the GT1000 and Scrambler, not really a comparison but a good read. I guess they're both standards but IMO two totally different (but great) bikes.

Whoah, now that is one fine set of bikes you've got. Why didn't you include the Ural as a retro standard (adventure touring, dual sport, hack)? :)

Yeah, I'd love a Japanese cruiser with a standard riding position and some degree of handling designed in. The Honda seems a bit too big and heavy for my experience level though, but thanks for the suggestion. Any other Japanese possibilities out there?[/quote]

Would the VN750 Vulcan be in standard class?
1993 750 Vulcan
one seater
ear shave, pod filters
rear turn signal relocation
lowered rear 2" soft tail
converted to manuel cam chain tensioner
horn relocation

One of my favorites, not exactly a standard, but doesn't perform like a cruiser:

You can't get much more retro than Royal Enfield. They are strong in the Pacific.

Don't think of it as a stop light. Think of it as a chance-to-show-off light.

I love my Enfield. Really draw a crowd when I go anywhere, though.

Have to add 10 minutes + to every stop I plan to make.
