WOW I am impressed! I'm afraid I'll hit ice and dump it when it's that cold. The streets aren't to clear around as well we havn't had this much snow in years and they don't know what to do with it.Gummiente wrote:Went out for a nice ride this afternoon, once it had warmed up to -14C (7F). Wore my skull face mask and my electric vest.

Living here in Colorado, I have made it a point to ride both my bikes at least once every month. I've had the CB750 Custom for 19 years and the Kawi Concours for 9 years and I've never missed a month.
What that means is that I've ridden in some very cold weather, at least on occasion. In the beginning I just froze. Then I got better gear. I never go out in winter without my electric vest. That thing is wonderful.
Of course I also wear long underwear and I have chaps and put on lots of layers. One of the most important things, though, is my fairing on the Kawi. I really don't understand guys who ride without a windshield or fairing. I have a windshield on the Honda but when I ride the two of them back to back the warmth difference on the Kawi is extreme. That fairing is wonderful.
