so i layed her down today...(skip this part if u don't want the story) i guess what i could have done to prevent it from happening is re-adjusting the brake handle. i think it might be to far out for my hand to quench properly. the guy said it might have locked the front tire up(it was raining). however i cant recall my exact error. happened kind of fast. i was being self conscious about my riding moments earlier i realized my turn was coming up. i down shifted two gears (20-35 ft) before the turn and eased on the front break (didn't use the back cause one time my bike started to tail fish.) in my opinion i took the curb to fast on a drizzling day with the possibility there might have been sand on the entrance. anyways...

i need a new rear break pedal, cause mine is bent in by 40 degrees or so. i was looking online, and i can only find a set for around $400 dollars. is that how much they really cost? (am i posting this in the right place?)

You mean a OEM replacement rear brake lever? Looks like they're about $63 plus shipping at RonAyers, part 8 in diagram:

$400? Only if they are titanium and plated in platinum and diamonds.

If you'd used the rear brake, you might not have gone down. You forced the front to do "all" your slowing, which over spent your available traction.

If your on dry smooth pavement your front brake should be 70% of your breaking power. If your on gravel, or wet pavement, Use engine braking and rear break much more than the front.
