Hi,
I noticed you're riding the V-star 650. Is it your first bike? If so, how long did it take you to feel comfortable on it? I bought one, and today I sat on it for the first time (at home). It felt so heavy and intimidating. This evening I went back and it doesn't seem as heavy or intimidating. After reading Deb's posting over the last couple of weeks I was starting to second guess my decision and almost cancelled the purchase. Now I'm glad I have it.

Hi Jadestop.....I received your PM. I sent you a PM back.
Yes, this is my first bike. My only experience before this was a few parking lot sessons on a 250cc Honda in the motorcycle class.
After some initial wrestling with the heavier weight, it didn't take too long to get accustomed to it.
I spent a few hours getting accustomed to it in a parking lot, then a couple of neighbourhood rides on streets with minimal traffic doing a lot of stop, go, stop, go, and a lot of right turns and left turns before I went onto busier roads.
