About the only positive thing from the high gas prices is that some people will drive less thus polluting less.
Doubtful. I have yet to see any marked decrease in commuter traffic even with the high price of fuel. Nothing like sitting on ramp of Highway 17 and Highway 99 trying to merge into traffic to go thru the tube. Usually surrounded by big arsed SUV's, tricked up pick ups and other fuel guzzlers all carrying just one person.
My commute is only 18 kilometres each way, but sometimes it take a good 45 minutes to do it when in the cage. On the bike I can use the HOV lane and make the trip in 20 minutes at the most.
It will be interesting to see if there is a decrease in mobile homes and fifth wheel camper traffic this year during the summer long weekends and holiday season.
