Maybe when I hit 1,000 miles I will purchase it...
wow night nurse, I almost bought that! I saw it at a local dealership, it is a nice one.NightNurse wrote:I found a gorgeous Joe Rocket jacket I want! Does anyone buy this brand? Are they any good? It is 200$, so I will have to wait awhile....but I really want it!! I saw it a motorcycle store today.
cute jacket
I purchased my other half (5"4, 140 and decreasing - much to her delight) a jacket: one of the Nitro close-outs from Ironpony.com. I got an XS. It's a pretty decent fit. I have the same jacket, and it's a delight. A family friend and former biker-gal tried it on and thought it was delightful. Plenty of room around the bust, despite being a men's cut.storysunfolding wrote:I need some feedback from the ladies of the forum. What are good brands of motorcycle jackets for women as far as fit, safety and comfort are concerned?
The pants are the Joe Rocket Ballistic 5.0 Extra Tall. They won't be any good for summer riding though because they don't breathe. They are waterproof.obfuscate wrote:What was the name of the pant? I have a pair of First Gear HT Pants (very versatile) but I actually had to get a pair in a men's size to fit my legs (5'7", 32" inseam) because they had sizes in Long lengths. All the women's sizes were way too short in the legs and I looked like I was ready for a flood!obfuscate wrote:What was the name of the pant? I'm 5'9" and tired of trying on capri's.
Not only that.....but when you sit on the bike, the knee pads end up on top of the leg instead of over the knee.TylerR wrote:I have a pair of First Gear HT Pants (very versatile) but I actually had to get a pair in a men's size to fit my legs (5'7", 32" inseam) because they had sizes in Long lengths. The pants I was describing above are men's pants. I wear a 34 inch inseam. It's very rare to find women's pants that fit.
Did you go sit on a bike with the pants on?MZ33 wrote:Y'know, I was thinking about this thread when I was trying on pants today at the local MC gear store. Its a big store, and they almost have a decent selection to choose from. I am 5'4", but overweight, so I had to move up some sizes, and the dang pants were dripping off my ankles! The knee pads were more like shin guards, although the pants fit nicely from hip to knee. The real bummer is that I can't shorten them, as they had elastic & fasteners & a zipped gusset all down the lower leg.
I immediately thought of you long-legged women, who can never get the right length. I wonder if in fact women have a lot more variables in their body types than men.
