greetings from foggy London

#1 Unread post by jasper_mcc »

Hi,

new member here from London (originally from Belfast). I've (against all better judgement) bought a brand new 650 v-strom as my first bike. It was the only thing that fitted!

I passed my bike test 10 years ago after 6 hours of tuition, then nothing until last month, when I just thought what the heck. Now I have a shiny new machine :).

Really enjoying myself, but the weather here hasn't been fantastic. The day after I picked it up there was 3 inches of snow on the seat.

Looking for some boots right now, has anyone got any recommendations? My friend says Sidi. I just don't know...

Jasper

p.s. if anyone in London sees someone in a 1980s Bros style leather jacket (so I was a fashion victim in 1988, so what?) tootling around nervously, say Hi!

Welcome. Nice ride.

Sidi is great if you have narrow feet. If not, check around. I'm not sure what's available over there compared to over here but I'm a big fan of the clearance sections

I wouldn't be surprised to learn, someday, that I was born in the clearance aisle. I was practically raised there! :D

  Whoops! Forgot what I originally wanted to say, which was :welcome3: and :happybikeday: !!

I must say, too, that the idea of riding in fog makes me shudder. Clammy & cold & no one can see me! What's to like about that?

Try these.....jandsclothing.co.uk They do some good deals. The bmf show is on before long,a bit expensive to get in(£16)but if you buy a few bits you can soon make that back. You can pick a pair of boots up for £15.xjrjohn
biking isnt a matter of life or death, its far more important(bill shankley, well almost)
