So my2001 R6 has been sitting all winter and now will only run with the choke on all the way. sometimes the idleing speed will change or slow down to where the engine shuts off completely. also once the engine is warmed up and i go to turn the choke of the engine will shut off right away. i can roll on the throttle then turn off the choke to keep the engine running but once i roll off the throttle the engine dies again.
It starts right back up with the choke on but will never stay running without it. I put new gas in, changed the spark plugs and cleaned the carbs which were fairly clean to my suprise.however i didnt use compressed air and dont know if the jets all got completely cleaned but they looked like brand new. should i clean the jets and carbs again or could it be something else like a fuel or air filter.
also my throttle sticks when i roll on it and doesnt spring back fast at all. is there anything i can do to make it spring back again?
thanks for the help

In addition to the jets, there are the small passages in the carb that make up the idle circuit. These are usually a likely place for gunk to form and the bike won't idle if they're clogged. In addition to compressed air, I also thread some fishing line through the passages to make sure they get cleared. Kind of like dental floss for carbs
