Came back and worked some more. Went out for a ride on the ZRX to familiarize myself with a couple hospitals we run to that I haven't gone to yet, so when I drive the medic I don't get lost. Came home and now I'm on call for the night.
And here's the weird part about that night when I was on call. I went to both of those hospitals on runs that night. Odd, but true.

Today I got the kids off to school, spent a few hours on work, and went for a ride with Loonette and a paramedic from our station. She rides an SV650 and a very good riding buddy in my estimation.

Decided to start riding the bike to work (thank you increased gas prices) I start a 5am, so temps pretty cold that early. Felt like I was getting frost bite on my hands so am thinking I'm going to wear winter gloves tomorrow morning for my commute. Had an fairly easy day at work and nice comfy ride home. Got home and made some popcorn for dinner and watched 2 really bad ROCK movies from netflix, had ice cream for dessert :) tsk tsk. Read my answered posts and lowered myself to answer a flame response. Tried to talk hubby into talking the MSF course so he can ride with me and my new MC when we go on our weekend excursions. Didn't get a favorable response cuz he doesn' t want to have to buy another bike. I told him we could 2 up on the one we have and he changed the subject :frusty:

^that was the best decision I've made in a while. The 10 mile ride home turned into 90 miles

I called BCAA and had my bike towed back to the dealer for another look for hidden damage.
I hope they fix it right this time.

Saturday we went to a BMW dealership to "look at" a bike my wife wanted to check out  ........ 5 hours later it somehow followed us home! Leftover 2007 BMW G650Xcountry. No, I don't have pics yet. Sunday I took it for a spin before the rain started .... very light, torquey as anything. Feels like there's "nothing in front of you." It has knobbies on it, but also came with Tourrances and needs to go back to have those mounted. I'll push it harder when it has the street tires.

I went for my 3rd treatment at the advanced shiatsu clinic. For the first time since my crash, I was able to fall asleep without an aching shoulder.
I hope the rest of me follows soon.

Today I had two, "Holy Cr@p" moments...

The first was on the way to a union meeting at the Firefighter's Hall in Burnaby. A soccer mom and her cell phone decided that the mini van would look nicer in the lane I occupied rather than the one she was already in. I was almost into the curb before the horn caught her attention, and the brakes got me out of harms way.

The second one happened as I was leaving the bar at the Firefighter's Hall, (Ginger-ale, and a beef dip.) I was in the left lane as I was going to be making a turn half a block away, when some stupid person in their cage decided to change lanes, slam on their brakes and make a left into a driveway. Makes for good emergency stopping practice.

Time to change my pants ...
