Get back to the basics..
Clean Fuel in the gas tank?
Petcock to ON or PRI
Freshly Charged Battery
If still no go
Check for spark on both cylinders (pull plug, put back in boot, lay against the block and hit the button, look for spark, repeat on other side)
Check for Compression on both cylinders
If you have spark, fuel, and compression, it should do something.

Make sure that the cables to the battery have clean, tight connections (on both ends). If you have corrosion on your battery connections, it doesn't matter if you've got a lot of battery power available (such as your SUV battery). If the cable connections are corroded or loose, the power won't be able to get to the starter.
