Kill switch fading

#1 Unread post by Viper3 »

Hey everyone,

I just got a used bike and the kill switch isn't as red as i'd like it to be. I could always buy a new one, but i'd rather consider alternatives if anyone has any. I don't know if painting it will make it look cheap. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You may be able to find a bright red plastic dye. The switch assembly will require disassembling, which may be a lot of work.

buy a new one if youre worried about looks, or paint it first and see what it looks like...use a high quality paint.

Nail Polish.

There are lots of reds to choose from, It's cheap, comes with it's own brush and is quite durable.

Nail Polish actually sounds like a good idea. Do you know anyone that has done this?

I used it as touch up paint on a red Toyota I use to own.
It worked great on those little dings. I was able to match the color almost exactly.
Don't forget to use a clear topcoat for that professional finish.
All kidding aside, I think it word work great.
