I have a 1985 Honda Magna vf700. The bike is in great condition and runs like a champ but has a strange problem that I would like to correct if I could without taking her to the shop.
If i turn the bike off with the kill switch, when I turn it back on and try to start it, I get nothing. The power stays on but I get nothing from the starter. I have to turn the kill switch on and off a bunch of times then it will start again. Usually this just happens if I use the kill switch, but last night it did it to me without touching the kill switch at all. I just had to turn the switch on and off a bunch of times to get her to start. I don't want this to one day get me stranded so any ideas I would greatly appreciate. Thanks a bunch. - Forest Ayers

There are two solutions to your problem. First remove and disassemble the switch housing. Clean and adjust the switch contacts. Reassemble and reinstall the switch housing.
Second, tale it to a shop.

People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
