v-star 250
is it a good bike. it seems light and has good gas. my only problem would be is it able to reach highway speeds at a respectful time with passenger?
Just looking at fourms with questions.

You will have trouble reaching highway speeds by yourself if you're 120 pounds.rocker-d wrote:is it a good bike. it seems light and has good gas. my only problem would be is it able to reach highway speeds at a respectful time with passenger?
Absolute top speed on it is about 70-75 mph, meaning that if you're on the highway at 60 mph you have very little room to accelerate, and you have to do so at wide open throttle.
I suggest newbies look at 500-750cc cruisers for first cruisers.

Vulcan can handle a passenger and still run well but overall space is tight if it is a adult passenger.
For a single rider, its great for short rides (one hour or less) on the interstate or in town. This is due to the seat, which is a issue for all bikes of this size.
My Vulcan will run as fast as my bother in laws C50 but the C50 is much more comfortable and has greater options to pick from which is a problem for many 500 cc bikes or less.
