There are a few other V-twin 250s. The Virago/V-Star 250 and AlphaSports GV250 are two of them.slimdiggie wrote:Thanks guys. I founda good Venox forum. I only paid 2,000 for it!!! It was a great pick up. It's the only 250 with a V-Twin motor and it's also liquid cooled. In person its looks as big as a 750 and sounds great.
There is also a bike shop that works on them close to me.

I started on the Hyosung GV250 (Same as the Alphasport). My wife rides it now and loves it. Like the Venox, it is physically more substantial feeling than the Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki 250's. I also looked at the Venox, but got a better deal on my GV250 (only looked at new when I was first shopping).
Great bike to start on, and you definitely got a great deal.

Thanks man. I'm glad we got my wife the gv250 after reading all the posts.
So looking at helmets yesturday. I came to the conclusion that the full face made me feel so clostraphobic (howevver you spell that) anyways does that feeling go away after you get use to it? I liked the 3/4 face, but they are not as protective.
Also since my bike is just sitting in my garage and I have three weeks until my class. Are there any practice things I can do to get more familiar with my bike. I want to make sure I don't get into a situation where I could drop my bike.
later on.

The claustrophobic feeling will pass, the same as the 'this thing is too tight on my face' feeling does.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
