Lots of girls spend hours flat ironing their hair in the a.m. The look is trendy now.

I don't even want to take my helmet off, it's that BAD!!!!

Carry a spritzer of water and a hairbrush. Works for me.

I have 80's rockers hair ( not by choice) so it really doesn't look much different before I put the helmet on from when I take it off, however, I did see this site and it is too cute... love the braids. Might solve all the problems.. just leave the helmet on.

You're not wearing the helmet long enough then. ;) My hair is pretty wild on its own but a few hours in a buff under a helmet seem to take care of it. ;)

Is a buff pretty much like a bandana? How does that help from keeping getting your hair flattened out?

Thanks

Oh, it will still be flat, but at least it will be tidy.

Well, unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity for a long ride yet. Not even 4 hours, so maybe then I'll dislike helmet hair. But since I have kind of flyaway hair, the helmet actually puts it all in order for me, after finger-combing.

Don't you get hot wearing a buff under your helmet?
I'd like to stop flyaway hair crawling over my face, it feels like insects have flown in sometimes.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but I guess it does! I don't wear a buff. I have enough trouble poking my glasses back on my face with my helmet on. I don't even wear a ponytail, so that nothing is tight around my ears, and I still wreak havoc on my glasses.

Or just bring a cute cap/hat to put on when you're off the bike for breaks and such... that's what a lot of the gals I've seen do. :) Helmet hair is just part of the territory!
Spend time with those who make you better.
