Does an 85 Honda Magna 750cc V45 have duel exaust ?
I only have one pic and I'm not sure if this bike has duel exaust. How will this bike sound ? Every thing else on this bike looks pretty good and the owner said it was stock in the description. Please advise. Thanks.

As far as I can tell the '85 is a 700, not a 750 and it has dual 2 into 1s on it, or two right hand header pipes to a single muffler on the right side and the same setup on the left.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Your location says "MJ". Not sure where that is, but if it's outside the U.S., then those may be the correct specs. In the U.S., the Magna's displacement was reduced to 700cc (by sleeving) from '84-'87, in order to get around a tariff. It was known as the VF700C Magna.MOOCH wrote:Here's what I found out. Ya I live in Canada and I read that about the teriff the other day. I'm just going to go look at the bike. Thanks.flynrider wrote:Your location says "MJ". Nope, I own an '85 V45 Sabre, the stable mate of the Magna with the same basic engine. The US tariff did not apply in the Great White North so we got to keep the full blown 750.MOOCH wrote:So how is this bike going to sound ? Will it have a little rumble and pop ? From what I've heard they are fairly quick bikes, so I'm hoping it will have a nice sound. Thanks.
Oh, would that tariff apply in Canada too ???
As for how they sound.........in a word, SWEEEET!.....little bit of a rumble and the a screaming roar when you wind it up. Mine is not happy below 3500 RPM's the the power band really kicks in around 5000 RPM's, at 7000 RPM's it just jumps out and screams down the highway.
Always ask why.

That great to hear. Thanks man, that exactly what I wanted to hear.SWEEEET!ceemes wrote:Nope, I own an '85 V45 Sabre, the stable mate of the Magna with the same basic engine. The V4 from the 80s always IMO sounded better in the power cruiser format than the Interceptor. It had a distinctive rumble in the Magna & the Sabre, but sounded whimpy in the Interceptor. Was there that much different in the tuning of the engines?
I had the lumpier sounding 800cc V4 in my '98 VFR. I had a high mount 2Brothers exhaust and it sounded awesome! Somewhat similar to a Ducati but much more sophisticated. At full throttle, it sounded like an Indy Car!
