I have a 2005 Suzuki C50 Boulevard. I got her last October but didn't start riding until about three months ago. I took the MSF course last December....bbbrrrrrrrr....bout froze to death! The first month I rode this bike I laid it down everytime I got on it
....sometimes getting pinned underneath (thank goodness for leathers!) or riding underneath it for about 30 feet on railroad ballast. What can I say? Gravel is my arch enemy. I had some work done on the throttle (installed an EFI module) and got new tires and viola' it was like I had been riding for years! My driveway is gravel and rutted ( I do live in Arkansas in the "boonies") so still nervous about this "riding the bike while on my back thing. In fact my bruises are still healing from last weeks spill on my road. I get back up and get my bike back up and just keep on riding. Gotta get back on the horse right? I asked my mechanic before I spent all that money on her if she was too big for me and should I sell her. He said I had already gone through the worst of it so just keep picking it back up. He was right and I have just fallen in love with riding. I rode both days this last weekend for runs or long rides and can't wait until the next time! If I knew it was going to be this much fun, I wouldn't have waited so long! By the way, my bike is really no worse for wear. She is tough with only a few scratches on the fender and little ones on the pipes. (I've replaced the other injuries). My DH is going to paint it for me this summer (and we will keep some touchup paint)
