Yes, I definately would as well My future pregnancy will be planned for perfect timing so when I'm too big to ride the season will be over, have the baby in winter, and then start riding again in spring...
hahaha, in the most perfect world Time before I worry about that, now I'm just going to enjoy riding
I wouldn't presume to tell anyone else what to do, but for myself, I wouldn't ride a motorcycle, a horse or even a bicycle while pregnant. When I was pregnant, I took a car road trip from Washington to Idaho and almost miscarried. That's precious cargo, I'd take no chances.
I rode a 69 Triumph Bonneville the morning my son was born (driver, not passenger)... I think it may have helped bring the labor on.. or maybe since he was 5 days overdue...... oh i dunno..........
I have to say... I've seen this topic over and over in the last few months... and wanted to say something... but didn't. Not too sure what is making me speak my mind. I think it's irresponsible to ride while pregnant... 4 weeks pregnant to 9 months... any accident on a motorcycle is serious. Why would anyone want to put their baby at risk... it's 9 months. For a person who's lived with infertility for over 3 years now..., riding pregnant is inconcivable. So you can be darn sure if and when I do get PG, the motorcycle will be put away.
I really think it's sad that 50% of the people who've polled think it's ok. This is my opinion and thoughts...unfortunately unless you've been through infertility, most people can't understand how you feel.
Hey Sandi...when you do get pregnant you can sell me your bike cause I'm not having any kids I've seen women do a lot of things I don't agree with when pregnant and kept my mouth shut, unless it's a close friend or family.,..will do the same here.
Whatever happened...I didn't do it!!

Thanks for the comment Iamjustifyd! But I plan to ride after I have a baby... so I dont' think if I'll be selling it, but I'll trade you. The 250 Ninja is calling me!!
I wasn't sure if I was going to get blasted with my thread... I guess to me riding a motorcycle has inherent risks.. no mater how careful we drive, there are risk. We have made a choice to ride anyways. But an unborn child doesn't have that choice, and those women who ride while pregnant put the baby at risk. We are suppose to protect our children. I have also said something to a friend of mine who put his pregnant wife on the back of his bike... he actually never thought about it until I pointed out the risks and he felt horrible. She never got on again till after the baby was born.

Just a funny note...(or perhaps not so funny)...I was hit by a car when walking to work one morning. It really can happen at any time or any place!!!
I am no expert since I've never been pregnant, but I have to say that accidents can happen at any time and it's not possible to stay in a locked room so do whatever you're comfortable with. I certainly wouldn't give up walking to work if I were pregnant, but yet since I've been hit while walking does that mean I should?
