Good Deal?

#1 Unread post by squall7 »

This seems like a good deal...yet Im not too sure.

I found a guy who is selling his 1994 Honda VLX for 2k. In the description he admitted that the bike will need a front fork seal replacement, and he is even supplying the honda parts needed to replace it if I were to do it on my own. To my knowledge this issue isn't too hard to be fixed, so I can deal with it.

The bike has 25k miles on it, and I managed to talk him down to 1600. What do you guys think?

He said the carb also may need cleaning, as he hasn't ridden it much in the past year or so.

The bike looks fantastic though. He showed me some pictures of it and Im going to take a look before I buy it, but it looks great.

$1600. and he's supplying parts; no labour cuz you do the work? If you can clean the carbs yourself, it sounds good.

Why are you unsure?
