If I've sat through 2 cycles without a change, I run the light. Traffic permitting of course.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

I would hate to have that stupid magnet stuck on the side of my boot if it didn't work.
You could always kick people with it because of the stored up anger about the sensors not working...

(joking)

I'd say you could kick cars with a magnet on your boot, but that might be a bad idea.

It sucks when the light doesn't cycle because nobody is tripping it. There are time where one has to do the "hop off, hit crosswalk button and scurry back to the bike" dance.

or you might have to push the cross walk button, if there is no loop.
I follow a new highway I haven't traveled before.

THat is if the stupid thing is actually wired. Here in NYC most of them are disconnected and in Long Island there aren't many traffic lights with crosswalk buttons.

After some e-mails to town officials it seems I'm able to trip more lights than before. Those things probably needed some calibration.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
