I was wondering what Chaps is? But my other half has just informed me that it's strips of leather you wear on your jeans. Just as well have a full set of leathers. Anyway leather is sexy!

I will spare the world the sight of me in leather pants(trousers) There are a variety of chaps you can get. Some just cover the front of the legs, most that I've seen now cover all the way around the legs. The only parts not covered by the chaps is the groin and butt.

Danger Mouse was American.... He didnt wear any pants.... ahh the life... Naked, a belt and a cape..
Danger Mouse lived in a pillar box in london, and didn't wear a cape...

***EDIT***
One quick internet search later, and I discovered dangermouse was later adapted for sale to the states (stiletto apparently was changed to have a cockney accent for the US version)

More info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangermouse
Interesting... I was talking about the American version. . Or perhaps I was thinking about Mighty Mouse.. who knows... Good useless knowledge fact about it being the first British cartoon to break into the American market though! I'll have to share that one night over a few dozen beers or so with my friends.. blokes, whatever!

Mine go over my jeans, and completely cover both legs with full length zippers up the side, and a buckle at the front. Same protection for your legs as leather pants, but not so good for the seat of yer arse! :(

The advantage is you can take them off and just wear your jeans. :D

Oh , I had a friend make me some chaps a few years back that are always gonna fit me no matter whether I gain or lose weight . They are two seperate legs with loops that snap over my belt and of course zip down the sides .

Too often I wear just jeans, but I know I need to do better. Joe Rocket Phoenis pants don't look very cool, but they keep you cool and safe. I have worn them with just light shorts under and in the hottest weather they are not too hot. That with the Phoenix jacket and you can go naked under. Again, you might look funny at the mall, but the kids love Power Rangers! Leave your helmet on!

Think I'll stick to me leather jeans, Surely if you wear chaps and go at speed they'll be flapping around, might get a gust of wind and take off  :frusty:
