I worked 8 hours. Then shot off an e-mail requesting some quotes for some brakes for the car. If all goes well I should actually be getting my brakes done sooner than I thought

Then I can actually DRIVE to places. I know, I know, that sounds blashphemous, but when you're more or less FORCED to bike everywhere, it makes you miss the nicer things in life. Like windshield wipers. And radios. And fun.

LOL

OK, OK, you guys can make all the fun you like of our 81 degree highs, and our 20 degree lows, our black pudding and our spotted dick, but I'll tell you what... Well, ummm, OK, you're right, it probably doesn't get quite so hot here as other places.

And that's final!

PS. And besides, we don't have aircon. And British heat is very, very damp and sweaty, and... so there!

Haven't they got a cream for that yet? I would definitely be looking for medical solutions for that problem.....

And I would think about wrapping that thing up next time.

....... yes, I know it's food of some sort. that only makes it worse......

OK Buzz, Go on! Insult us. Why don't you?

Yes, there is a cream for it: it's called Devonshire clotted cream and it goes very nicely, thank you!

Some of us have cultural artifacts that are pre-Freudian, y'know.

Canuckers may dream of world domination but some of us went out and... err...!

Spotted Dick, Roly Poly....mmmmmm, the good stuff....the barbarians of the colonies have no idea what they are missing........

Speaking of things British, while picking up my lunch today, I spotted a Vstrom 650 in Richmond BC that was sporting a yellow license plate. Yup it was a young Brit visiting the colonies and he had brought over his bike.

We chatted a bit, seems he is planning on heading across the line into Washington State to catch the Alaskan ferry. From there he will be riding back down to Vancouver BC. So, keep an eye out for the lad peeps.
Always ask why.

I have a theory about the British and their proclivity for naming stuff after body parts they otherwise pretend don't exist in public. But I don't think the filters here will let me expound on it....

Canuckers may dream of world domination but some of us went out and... err...!

...and lost the biggest Empire in history? I am betting the emergence of spotted dick had something to do with that.

When we take over the planet, we will politely "pee" it away for no good reason and end up with less we have now..... like we always do.... except we'll pay all the taxes after that.

But before that happens, I will have myself a field day passing laws and enforcing them. You know, stuff like...

... 2 wheels have the right of way every time. Internal combustion has the right of way over animal power.
... no speed limit for bikes.
... bikes allowed to cruise sidewalks(sorry... pavements  ) as long as the rider is smoking.
... persons in riding gear automatically moved to the head of any line they are in.
... those geared up people will have whatever bills they incur in that line paid by the next non-geared person in line behind them.

They get a little more twisted after that....
