New future rider!

#1 Unread post by alex0219 »

Hey everyone,

A little about me, I am a guy, almost 18 ( August 7th) and from the Phx metro area in Arizona.

So I have been looking a lot into motorcycles lately and am fairly certin I am going to purchase one. Going to take the MSF course first though and chose the right bike and do this right. Probably looking to buy in January. Already gotten a lot of good info from here and looking forward to learning a lot more!

:::waves:::

Happy birthday 5 days early! And welcome to the forum...lots of good info from spiffy people here :)

:::looks at location::: Hey, one of my old TKD instructors is located near you. I miss him, even though he used to terrify me ;)

Any idea what kind of bike you're leaning toward?

Thanks for the words of welcome and the early happy birthday thumper!

And thats cool, maybe I know him, doubt it though lol. I say you where from Vacaville to thumper, I used to live in between Monterey and Salinas. And my girlfriend's extended family all lives around their so I think I may be stopping by their next summer. Maybe riding :wink:

But I am thinking about the Kawasaki Ninja 250R and went to sit on it, it was comfortable but I sorta feel in love with the 650R. . . lol but I plan on doing alot more research on it since some say its good for beginners and some say its not. also thinking about the Ninja 500R and Suzuki GS500F and maybe the Buell Blast but plan on taking the MSF course and seeing what they have to say as well as seeing how comfortable I am.
