good to see people joining in on the fun of rideing. I dont know much about you but you sound like a pragmatic person so you could probably start with a 750 shadow if you are big into hondas. i think they are great my first bike was a honda 50 as a kid then i graduated to a cb550 what a fun bike
plan the work then work the plan captain america
Well, I'm finally hopefully getting into the MSF course this weekend. My husband, the lucky devil, got into a course over a month ago as a walk in and already has his bike ('94 GS500e). I'm a standby, but since quite often people don't show up, I'm hoping I'll get in. I'm going to get there really early so I am the first standby in line. I've seen a couple of bikes that I liked, but we had a deal that we couldn't buy until we had taken the course, so I have all my gear and nothing to ride. Oh well, at least I will have my own helmet for the class. Even better, we are supposed to have relatively nice weather this weekend.

I looked at some of the bigger hondas, but the problem is they have a wider seat, so I'm a little more tippy toe than I feel comfortable with. I have really short legs. Once I get more comfortable riding (a year or two), my plan is to actually move up to one of the larger shadows or the Yamaha Vstars, but at first, I want to be flatfooted (or as near as I can get). I actually have seen a number of Yamaha Virago 535 and even a couple of Kawasaki Vulcan 500 for sale used around here, so I might see how those are.captinamerica wrote:good to see people joining in on the fun of rideing.
