I am on my third full face helmet......
I had been used to wearing a half helmet so when I first got the full face, I also felt very restricted.....That feeling goes away quickly though.
You get used to turning your head a bit farther.....
And...when it's cold out.....a full face is much warmer.
Bike day for me too

I have always used a 1/2, and just purchased my first full face yesterday. I am taking it for a test run today, but just as a rider. I will let you know. I am with everyone else who has switched, I know they are safer, but I am afraid of feeling really restricted. But it is only 60 this morning, I KNOW I will be warmer.
there's a user feature on every full face and 3/4ths helmet that helps negate the issue. neck swivel. the issue with full face helmets is more a psycological issue than any design fault, and can be overcome with practice and experience. but especially when new, you should be taking multiple quick head turns right and left constantly (we're not talking oscillating here, mind you) to keep a panoramic view of your surroundings. just make sure you don't stop paying attention in front of you.
if you opt out of a full face, mind you, get some good wrap around glasses, permenently embedded sand and gravel in the eyeballs is far less than comfortable.
