You mean like the Triumph "Bison"? AKA Vision?Thumper wrote:Hey now...no taking potshots at the people to whom the DN-01 is a thing of beauty. I'd buy one in a heart beat if it were a little less expensive and if I hadn't bought an MP3 last month.
Sadly, with that price, I can see it vanishing from the US market in a couple of years.
Grey Thumper, Kawasaki also has the Versys, which is based off the ER-6n.

a 650cc dual sport, and a 230cc bike in dual sport and supermoto models

Mrs. and I were at a Honda dealership this afternoon (no need to name names). I asked the salesman how many DN-01's he expected to sell? "None." He said they might get one in as a curiousity - it will draw in shoppers to gawk at it - but no one will buy. It's way overpriced for what it is.
He's also quite disgusted at Honda's thinned-down product line. Hard to make money marketing a franchise without products.....

After looking at pictures of it... I think I'm agreeing with you on the fugly issue...jstark47 wrote:DN-01 is overpriced. I can get a standard (non-ABS) ST1300 for the same money! But the pricing problem is typical for Honda - why their USA market share continues to erode, IMO.
p.s. It's fugly, too!!!!
