Dear Massachusetts State Police.
Stop following me. For real. You seriously need to follow me from when I leave my "procreating" house until I get to the gas station? And then park your cruiser about 50 feet behind me And watch me as I give the attendant some cash to prepay the pump? Does it make you feel good to watch me spend my money? I'm not selling drugs, I'm not vadalizing property. You know my car by now, you've seen it. You've pulled me over for doing absolutly nothing wrong (true story, tint too dark my "O Ring") and have never gotten a complaint about me before. So why follow me? Why watch me as I pump my gas. Go ahead and sit there, I've VERY good at wasting time. I'll gladly give you an excuse to idle there and waste gas while the ricers are out doing burnouts on the other side of town. You see the local cops? Yeah, the cops NOT following me across town and trying to intimidate me? They stopped that "poo poo" MONTHS ago when they realized I'm not one of the typical "Donut Holes" that drives around in a modified cars passing soccer moms for the fun of it. Hell, I get a friendly "hello" most of the time when I cross paths with the night time guys at dunkin donuts. And it's not the typical "I'm trying to size you up, hello!" hellos. It seems like they're just being friendly. Oh, sure, a few of you state police officers are nice. A small group of friends and I talked to one about modifying our cars and what we planned to do to them. He was cool, and working on a Maxima. Not following me for no good reason. If you keep it up, I may have to start giving you a reason to follow me. Lets see how long you can keep up with me when the road stops being straight. Let's see what happens when I finally get pissed off enough at being TAILGATED BY A "procreating" COP. First you'll see me in front of you. Then I'll be gone, and you'll be wondering where the "fudge" I went. I'm getting sick and "procreating" tired of it Massachusetts State Police. I like the local cops, hell I even like the sherrifs deputys, even if one pulled me over (and only gave me a written warning
). They don't follow me around trying to find something to ticket me over. So please, in the interest of fairness, back the "fudge" off and harass someone else. Or do I need to take the Ninja by the barracks and do wheelies?

I'm thinking that it might be a good time to take a stroll over to the cop the next time that he is waiting for you and ask what he's doing. Get his badge number and car number and write up a nice polite report to his superiors.
If it isn't the same cop all the time, get all their numbers. Maybe get it on tape as well.

If they're definitely following you - I'd approach them as well. "Hey what's up?" followed by gathering badge numbers as suggested above seems like a very good tactic. Giving them a reason to keep following you would probably be temporarily satisfying, but not long term.
At least your local cops are okay. Avoid dealing with Medford cops at all cost if you ever come east.

If I may say so I would bring an olive branch offering of a dozen donuts and this honorary patch as a gesture of good will:
