Do I need a Motorcycle License for Bikes 250cc's or less?

I live in Texas and someone here told me that I do not need a Motorcycle Liscense for 250cc or less. Do I?

I believe it is 50cc or less....for that you just need a car license....

In most states if goes by brake horse power and not CC size. Here in PA it is 5 brake hp and there have to be peddles on it(moped). so check wi your DMV before you buy.

Before I would drive anything on any highway I would get the information directly from the Department of Public Safety.

I can just see some one being pulled over and saying to the COP, "But they said it was all right on the internet."
